In today’s Friday fun video, its time for some trad climbing at Bench Tor on Dartmoor.
A couple of my friends wanted to go rock climbing, but needed somebody with a rope! So I tagged along with my rope, and witnessed my friends first ever trad climb!
For those of you who don’t know what trad climbing is, it is short for “Traditional climbing”. It is a style of rock climbing in which a climber places all protection gear into the rock cracks/crevices. This gear is what is required to protect against falls.
So sit back, enjoy the Dartmoor scenery and watch my mate Sam on his first ever trad climb!
